I am starting this blog called reverse seo. Why am I calling it Reverse SEO?

As we all know SEO is search engine optimization. That’s the art of pushing up search results at the top of google’s organic ranking. The organic results appear under the advertisement shown on the SERP as seen in this image:

Reverse SEO means doing the reverse (or contrary) of search engine optimization.

Why would anyone want to do this? Because of several reasons but most notably to remove unwanted results.

Pushing down the competitor results or negative press for example. I plan to start moving my consulting practice in this direction.
