Intelius is merely filling a need for companies that require background checks, but unfortunately due to some of their marketing techniques when someone Google’s your name search results may end up showing up from the Intelius site which you are not happy with.

Visit this page, which will prompt you to upload proof of ID. The must match the name and address on the record you wish to have removed. In the additional details state your full name, address, and date of birth as per their records, and include a request that all related entries are removed from their site and all sites they own.

The removal process is reported to take 7 to 10 days. If you provide an email, they will send notification of when the removal is complete, but it pays to check back with them regularly.

Intelius Opt-out Fax Request

If you have tried the online opt-out and for some reason, it has not worked, then Intelius can alternatively be contacted by fax to have your record removed.

Create a letter detailing very specifically the information you wish to have removed. Attach a copy of your ID to prove it is your record. Fax both to Intelius at 425-974-6194.

Then wait and check, fax requests can take up to 6 weeks to process.

Getting information removed from Intelius is only the beginning since they collect their data from other sources. The next step is to review other sources through a comprehensive search under your name.
